Breakdance, also known as b-boying or b-girling, is an expressive and energetic dance style that originated in the streets of New York City. With its acrobatic moves, fast footwork, and incredible strength, breakdance has conquered the world as a fascinating form of self-expression and artistic creativity.
Breakdance is also part of hip-hop culture but is different from hip-hop dancing. It is a dance style that involves the use of unconventional supports like hands and head. Learn the coolest moves like the backspin, turtle, and flair!
Breaking will be a new sport at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which will further increase interest in this dance form.
Lessons are available for ages 6 and up, with different age groups and levels.
The lessons of season 23/24 will start from Monday, September 11th. The first week of lessons is an OPEN-LESSON WEEK where you can try out various classes with a trial lesson. During this week, the trial lesson is free. After that, if there’s still space, you can still take a trial lesson, but it will cost €10, which will be deducted from the (remaining) tuition fee upon registration. Click the ‘trial lesson’ button and fill out the form to get on the guest list immediately. If you want to secure your spot, you can also register right away!
The breakdance lessons for beginners are lessons of 45 minutes.

That is certainly possible, if you can do a trial lesson, there is always room to register for the same group. If the group is full, you cannot do a trial lesson in that group.
For breakdance or breaking, it is best to wear clothes that allow you to move well and freely, so skinny jeans are not very handy. Also make sure you don’t get too hot in it too quickly, hip-hop is quite intensive, so a t-shirt is always good. If you are a bit further you will also use your head as a support point and many use a hat to provide some protection.
The battle is an important part of breakdance, so yes, that will certainly be part of the lessons.
